Description

The promised pale lilac sheen was clearly visible, to their intense disbelief, caught by moonlight in his coat as the stallion plodded down the ramp of the massive cargo barge. The moonlit night, not bright at all at this place in the moon's cycle, was more than enough to bounce the surreal silvery lustre out of the chestnut pelt. Aurora was quietly beside herself, grinning ear to ear, and Tabitha was prancing on her toes for fear of exploding with excitement.

"Oh he's just fantastic..." Aurora whispered to the shorter girl, smile still locked at full tilt. Tabby squeaked ever so slightly, nodding her head manically. "He's so beautiful, I can't wait to get a brush over that coat!" She responds, the girlish squeal not as hidden as she'd like from her voice. The wonder of his colour aside, he was built beautifully; strong legs, fairly stout with a handsome head, and big, lovely eyes. He seemed unphased despite the long journey, regarding everything with a placid, even gaze. "He's not a very lively boy, is he Tab?" Joked Aurora, as the stallion neared them he seemed to almost drag his feet, his eyes lidded seemed sleepy and almost overly content with the completely new surroundings. "Nah, I think he's just an old gentleman, give him a chance." Tabitha says, her small hands reaching out for the lead rope, whole body shaking with glee. She squeaks again, and the horse raises his head, his small ears pricked forwards, gentle, grey eyes waiting on the girl for any further strange noises. Aurora chuckles, and places a hand on Tab's shoulder before walking away, preparing the trailer for their new animal. Tabitha looks at the horse and lays a chilly hand on his wide nose. She strokes him. His eyes close and he sighs happily. Tab lets out another thrilled squeak, but the horse doesn't react this time.

As Tabitha leads the horse to the trailer, Aurora watches, thinking, as the younger girl guides him straight up the ramp with no fuss, that they might have found a horse as calm as Tab is excitable. She hoped that their stark differences would compliment each other. She closes the ramp behind his red haunches and rounds the truck to hop into the driver's seat. Through the rear window she can see the stallion and Tabitha, his head resting lightly against her chest, her body frozen with joy afraid to ruin the moment; and Aurora knew in that moment that they would be great.

Disposition: Completely and utterly unflappable. Calm to the point where you might mistake this stallion, and he is definitely a stallion, with being bored of the world around him. Or overly haughty, or unimpressed. This isn't the case, at all, he just enjoys the world around him with his own kind of drowsy contentedness. He isn't one for gestures, throwing his head and pawing, and his body language is very subdued. Whether he is happy or, rarely, unhappy, he lets you know in his own quiet way. While being handled he is an absolute gentleman, with excellent manners, and is very aware of his own space and mass. Could be handled by a child with no issue. A very peaceful animal by every definition.

His humble personality carries over to being under saddle. He is unafraid, sensible and discerning, conscious of the safety of his rider, not the sort of horse who will drag you under low branches. Very comfortable and practical to ride, with large, plain gaits and a ground covering canter as smooth and warm as butter.
